March, the much-anticipated upscale Mediterranean eatery from the minds behind Montrose favorites like Rosie Cannonball, is officially ready to open its doors.
The restaurant is set to make its debut at 1624 Westheimer Road in Montrose on March 31, according to a press release. Boasting both a lounge and large dining room, the space was designed by Houston firm Curtis & Windham Architects and Studio Robert McKinley in New York City. Luxe touches, like a custom Murano glass chandelier in the lounge, custom dining tables designed by chef Felipe Riccio’s wife Hayley, and art from popular Irish painter Oliver Jeffers in the dining room, can be found throughout the space.
Some Houston diners have already gotten a peek at March. As previously reported by Eater, the restaurant opened its lounge space as a “prelude” to March’s debut back in November 2020, serving up champagne and cocktails while offering a sneak peek of Riccio’s Mediterranean cuisine.

With Riccio at the helm of the kitchen, March will offer a constantly evolving cast of six and nine course tasting menus that weave together Riccio’s culinary influences from Spain, Italy, and other Mediterranean cuisines. First up, Riccio will focus on the cuisines of the Maghreb, or Northwest Africa, with dishes like Moroccan tagine with lamb heart, pig’s ear, leeks, and aromatic spices, on the menu.
On the boozier side of the menu, MARCH Master Sommelier June Rodil and beverage director Mark Sayre will oversee a cellar of 11,000 bottles of wine sourced from small producers throughout the region. The cocktail menu at MARCH is designed by Eater Young Gun Alex Negranza, whose first menu will utilize herbs that are native to the Mediterranean in cocktails like the Green Zombie, a mix of rum, fruit liqueurs, and freshly made oregano falernum.
March will begin accepting reservations via its website on March 25. When it debuts, the restaurant will be open from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.
