For Dr. Seuss fans – whose childhood memories would be incomplete without the number of hours spent poring over his books – a new immersive experience is coming up in Houston, which is a can’t miss. It promises to take Dr. Seuss fans into the worlds of the author’s stories.

The Dr. Seuss Experience was first launched in 2019 in Toronto and after two years has made its way to the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston. The interactive and immersive experience will kick off on 15 May and run for three months till 15 August.

Described as a ‘Seuss-tacular experience,’ the installation will take guests through nine different books by Theodor Seuss Geisel, who wrote under the pseudonym Dr. Seuss, and lead them into the worlds created by the author in his stories.

From the tricks of The Cat in the Hat, the anthropomorphic cat who shows up at the house of two kids while their mom is away, to The Lorax, a champion of the environment, fans will be able to experience the images imprinted in the books and in film adaptations for themselves while strolling through these installations.

At the exhibit you can embark on an awesome journey through the balloon-filled maze from Oh, the Places You’ll Go!, swing among Truffula Trees and walk along ‘towering clovers’ to listen to Who from Horton Hears a Who! along with many other exciting activities.

What’s more, it’s a great way for grown-ups to introduce the little ones in the family to the amazing tales and adventures of the unforgettable characters created by this very famous Pulitzer Prize-winning and two-time Academy Award-winning author. COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS

Make sure to book your tickets in advance for this one and be ahead of the crowds as the experience is immersive and participatory. The Dr. Seuss Experience in Houston will be set up in accordance with the state’s COVID-19 protocols.

There are three types of tickets for you to choose from at this installation:

The Dr. Seuss Experience General Admission: $33 for adults, $27 for children and $26.25 per person for a family four pack.

The Dr. Seuss Experience VIP Anytime Tickets: $50 for all ages for any time entry into the exhibit.

The Dr. Seuss Experience Super – Super Stoo-Pendous Hours: $50 for all ages for an experience without the crowds. (Limited Availability)
