With the hottest weather ever fast approaching, it’s time to start thinking about sipping frozen beverages. Maybe they have beer in them? Curious? Learn more below.

Beer News

This weekend is Saloon Door’s five-year anniversary party. There are tons of beer releases each day, including bourbon-barrel-aged wee heavies (what you might also call Scotch ales), plus live music Friday and Saturday and a Super Smash Bros. tournament on Sunday. Head out to Webster for the fun.

Beer Releases

Ingenious has some fruit freezers available—frozen beer cocktails, let’s call them. One is Dumb Dumb Tropical Sherbet, a 5.5-percent ABV, smoothie-style blend conditioned on banana, tangerine, orange sherbet, and vanilla beans; the other is Fruit Madness Sangria Paradise, a 9-percent ABV, frozen imperial sour conditioned on coconut, kiwi, pineapple, pear, green apple, and white peach. You can enjoy them at the Humble brewery.

Urban South HTX has a bunch of releases: Thiols of Berkeley, an IPA with Galaxy, Motueka, and Citra; Timepiece, a helles-style lager with Oregon malts; Spilled: raspberry, Nerds, and ice cream, which was conditioned on Nerds candy; and Spilled: Berry, White Chocolate. Get them at the Sawyer Yards facility.

New can at Southern Yankee: Stouthouse Cookie Pastry Stout includes a lot of Oreos. Heck yeah. Get it at the taproom in four-packs.

You can get Susan, Great Heights’s dessert sour with blueberry and vanilla, now in four-packs at the Garden Oaks brewery. Just don’t get in Kramer’s way.

Ready to do the Time Warp (again)? Astral has cooked up this New England-style IPA with Idaho 7 and Citra hops. It’s a slammable 5.7-percent ABV and available now at the taproom.

No Label is giving us Not Ridgeback, a 5.1-percent ABV Scottish amber. It’s available now at the Katy brewery and taproom.

The latest and last experimental beer from Eureka Heights’s L.A.B.S. Hypotheseries is Cumbersome Calculations, which is brewed with HBC 692. It can be yours at the Heights brewery and taproom.
