The 3,000-acre Prairieland Village, located about 30 miles northwest of downtown Houston, has begun presales, according to a press release. It will have an estimated 7,000 homes and 26,000 residents upon completion and is slated to open in the spring of 2022.
The first four sections of Prarieland Village, called Mourning Cloak, will offer the following homesite sizes with their respective builders:
Section 1 will have 40-foot homesites built by Highland Homes and David Weekley Homes.
Section 2 will have 45-foot homesites built by Perry Homes and Chesmar Homes.
Section 3 will have 50-foot homesites built by Beazer Homes, Lennar and M/I Homes.
Section 4 will have 55-foot homesites built by Perry Homes and M/I Homes.
Larger, 60-foot lots will be available in September. Homes are expected to be priced from the low $200,000s to over $1 million.
Model homes in Prarieland Village are set to open this fall. In the meantime, potential homebuyers can visit the model home park in Parkland Village and meet with builders to discuss their options.
The Bridgeland community in Cypress recently won the Urban Land Institute’s People’s Choice Award at the 2021 Development of Distinction award ceremony for its Josey Lake. Howard Hughes Corp. considers Josey Lake its crown jewel, as it epitomizes the community’s goal to integrate nature with development.
The community also has outdoor amenities, including parks, green spaces, canoe and kayak launches, miles of hiking and biking trails, catch-and-release fishing, a lakefront pavilion and more.
