2 Popular Restaurant Temporarily Close After Fire Causes Water Damage

The Annie Café & Bar and Turner’s, restaurants from Berg Hospitality Group that both occupy 1800 Post Oak Blvd., #6170, as part of 1 BLVD Place in Uptown, have substantial water damage because of a fire Wednesday night in the building.

A fire was reported in the exhaust hoods in the joint Annie and Turner’s kitchen. While there was no smoke or fire damage, the building’s sprinkler system was triggered. No guests or employees were injured in the event, though the restaurant will be closed for three weeks as it cleans up from the water mess.

“We are extremely grateful for the Houston Fire Department staff and their promptness and professionalism in handling this situation,” wrote Berg Hospitality Group owner Benjamin Berg in a statement. “We now have some remediation work to do in order to pass specific codes, but we hope to reopen within two to three weeks.”

Berg said his team was contacting guests about canceled reservations, and that he was hoping to relocate all private parties to places like the Four Seasons Hotel and Brennan’s on the Bayou.

If you have questions or concerns, call the Annie Café at 713-804-1800 or Turner’s at 713-804-1212.
